So, yesterday was a pretty great day on the diet, I must say. All signs of sugar withdrawal were gone. No bouts of nausea. My body has adapted to the removal of sugar quite well this time around. However, all I wanted yesterday was something that crunched. And I don’t mean lettuce or kale chips, but something that felt starchy, that was covered in salt and that crunched! And my food for yesterday did not have anything like that. But one of the great things about Ideal Protein is, you can shuffle things around as long as you don’t eat more than one restricted food a day.
And these foods are often the really dense stuff, like bars or chips/crisps/ridges, oatmeal, chili, etc. Last night I was supposed to have the vegetable chili, but I swapped it out for the white cheddar ridges, and it totally satisfied that craving! Holding that little bag and crunching away is an emotional thing that, hopefully, I’ll let go of as time goes on, but last night, I just needed chips. And these were as close as I was going to get, and it worked just fine. Success!
